Court Rules no Denial for Patients in Clinical Studies

supremecourt.jpgProviders have decided to deny claims of cancer patients who file claims from their health insurance. This has brought about several lawsuits and court proceedings that has resulted in a ruling that has been made into a law that prohibits providers from denying claims if and when they do file for claims for treatment. This is a triumph for cancer sufferers who use their insurance for their treatment and care. Some choose to take part in clinical studies that aim to find better ways of managing, treating and the possible finding of a cure for their diseases. They were denied claims due to the fact that their act of taking part in clinical trials is not stipulated in their policies and that it signifies a breach of the terms and conditions of the policies in question. The court has granted them their rights to file claims extending it by having a law ratified to prevent such incidents from ever happening again preventing more anguish for all the cancer sufferers out there.
