Health Insurance Forecasts for the US- Not so good
A research group has determined through a study that the US would be spending more or less 20% of it’s GDP on health care at the current rate things are flowing. This highlights the need for a re-think of the health care strategy and support systems which are aimed in making health care not only affordable but of acceptable quality. Some states have an uninsured rate of almost 30% where the government has to shoulder all the costs for health care. A huge increase of under insured Americans is also ringing alarms in the industry which makes private health care shudder at the prospect of loosing more and more of their business. The creation of laws and proper management tools which would capitalize of Information technology as a tool to simplify and eliminate some of the repetitive jobs in the industry for one. The efficient use of all available health care resources which has the ability to get to where it is needed and lastly an incentive package that would allow people and insurers to be at par with each other giving the customer more choices by standardizing rates and encouraging competition in the industry.
